GDF SUEZ Energy Portugal is in charge of managing GDF SUEZ’s assets in Portugal, in the area of energy generation. The core of its activity is the management of wind farms. It owns four wind farms located in the North of the country totalling a 214 MW installed capacity.
GDF SUEZ also has a 42.5% share in Generg, in the renewable energy sector, and a 25.4% share in Portgás, in the natural gas sector.

GDF SUEZ has 100% ownership of four wind farms four wind farms totalling 214 MW with an estimated annual generation around 500 GWh.
Presence as a minority shareholder
GENERG: Generg is a Portuguese company created in the year 1988. Its core business is the development and operation of power stations using renewable energy source: hydro, wind, solar.
PORTGAS: A Portgás is the natural gas and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) distribution and supply company in the region of Porto. Today, it operates under the brand EDP Gás.
GDF SUEZ is present in Portgás since its creation in 1993.
Portgás is the second largest natural gas company in Portugal, with more than 200,000 clients at the end of 2009.
